Week 14 – 14 weeks too late

Oh man finally the St. Louis Rams… oops excuse me I mean the once again Los Angeles Rams finally got rid of the anchor that was Jeff Fisher. As he officially tied the record for the losingest coach in NFL history the Rams thought to themselves well thats enough we’re gonna call it quits. Umm… wait a minute most losses of any coach in NFL history.He was not coaching the Browns. Given he did inherit a team with a 7 year drought and awful prospects including the famous number 1 overall blunder that was Sam Bradford. But I mean come on with a lot of high level picks at your disposal there was repeated misses in the draft and strategic placement of the draft picks they did go with. Over his time with the Rams organization I never saw a team that was structured and disciplined. Further more there were no big moves that made any talent prospects think “oh man I want to play for those guys.” This is a reflection of front office all the way down to your coaching staff and assistants. Strategic play week in and week out are your competitive advantage in the NFL. Nothing will work two weeks in a row unless you’re Gronk and Brady trashing defenses with their slants and fades. You need to be tricky, risky, but consistent. Fisher I see as too consistent… in the losing column. But the Rams and the front office you should have done this on your way to LA as a fresh start. Don’t mean to be the bearer of bad news but we all knew this was going to happen.

The second part to this oh man is juicy for all my Niner fans out there. Early speculation is the Jim Harbaugh is the top prospect for the now LA Rams. Ohhhh boy I forsee some really juicy rival games in our future. The headlines of Jim taking his old team down in two games a year showing the Niners fearless leader Jed York “man you know you made a mistake by firing me but now you’re going to pay!” As both these teams are in rebuild mode it appears the Rams depending on the coaching selection will have an edge with star Todd Gurley and developing quarterback Jared Goff. Are you guys wanting Jim to stick it to your Niner team as most of you show a loyalty and frustration with the Niners decison to fire Jim. Or screw that guy Chip is going to get you guys to win a superbowl… what a joke but i certainly hope Jim decides to come down and be the head coach for the Rams the offseason headlines alone would be juicy I could only imagine a football game between these two teams with Jim the captain of the LA Rams ship.

Week 13 Seattle vs Carolina

Okay as my first post a little late from week 13 but still gonna put it up. The fail that seemed to be big discussion this week was in that Carolina and Seattle game. Everyone was so surprised when Carolina’s offense took the field and Cam Newton was left pacing the sideline. Almost immediately the whole sports world started in on the speculation. What is wrong with Cam Newton? What is going on in Carolina? On that drive the back up quarterback Derek Anderson throws a pass to Jonathan Stewart in the flats which bounces off of his hands and into the hands of Mike Morgan of the Seattle Defense. This play set the tone for the game which would turn into rout of the Carolina Panthers ending in the score of 40-7. Later we find out that Cam was sat on the first drive as the consequence for deliberately not wearing a tie on the team bus. This after coach Ron Rivera express that wearing a tie on the team bus was mandatory for all players. Of all blow ups of all consequences this has to be one of the worst at the very least this year. Nothing made Cam look like he was the most important part of the team than that one play. This is a fun one! I feel that most things surrounding Cam Newton always seem to be blown up, he is on a scale of his own. My questions and concerns are first who is in control of that locker room? Adversity always has a funny way of showing people’s or an organization’s true colors. I do not think this is a new problem but the winning record simply made it easier to deal with last year. Should a superstar of Cam Newton’s level be above “the law?” Who has a better point Newton or Rivera? To be honest I do not have much sympathy for Newton as a working man I wear what I am supposed to wear because my employer says so. For me its that or lose my job. Are these football players getting bigger and more valuable then the men who spend countless hours creating the plans and schemes that make them look like all-stars? Who do you think is more valuable Rivera or Newton? You think one may get the boot?

Hello there everyone! My name is Agent Smith and like many of you I am an avid sports fan. Also like many of you the sport I love and look forward to all year long is Football. The National Football League as much as I hate buying into the brand is one of my favorite forms of entertainment. I watch week in and week out whether my team is in it or not. I will confess I am a Green Bay Packer fan but this blog will not be used as a fan site. My objective here is to create conversation. If you are anything like me you watch every week yelling at the TV for some player to do this or why a coach did that or what the hell was that call that a ref made. I mean were his eyes even open? Every week I realize I will never be heard from these guys so maybe I will reach out to all of you and see how you feel. I am going to pick something from every week in the NFL and create a blog about it and I would love for comments to be posted and I will respond to them. Keep in mind it is about the sports personal attacks will be deleted so keep it fun and about the sports not each other.
